Taken from the theatre piece and art-installation 19 JULY 1985 – Una tragedia Alpina, Incantevole Posizione comes from the collaboration with the director Filippo Andreatta OHT  

The work focuses on the catastrophic landslide that swept away the village of Stava in1985 claiming hundreds of lives. The music took the role of the chorister in dialogue with a live chorus of 16 voices singing Ligeti’s Lux Aeterna, David Lang and a mountain chant. While the choir represents the emotional side of the piece, the music evokes nature by treating and distorting natural sounds. This collaboration forms the basis for ‘Incantevole Posizione’
